stuck with bed&breakfast's analog tv hell last night I fell asleep watching some sort of self-help-feel-good documentary which message could be summarised as "well, noone said it was going to be easy!". Anyways, in addition to asking yourself what 5 things that made you happy that day (which could be more tricky than it sounds like) it also let us know about the positive power of 5 things that we are grateful for. it works really well. Try it! For me, this blog makes it easy for me. Look at my family. Look at the town we live in. I can only admit that there is so much that I should be grateful for but which I take for granted in the day-to-day life. Love you all. I'm coming home!!

O:

Well done, you've done great this week! I am so glad to have you back. Let's buy ourselves a car this weekend! ;)

rajson:
Absolut, vilken bra twist på temat. ;)

lottam, frida pixelblog, malin2, nässelblog & choklad:
Tack för era snälla kommentarer!

dogeared:
All photos tell a story, but I sometimes find it hard to be wordless. These flowers, my son gave me a couple of days ago. "Because girls like pink!"

Thank you for stopping by.

dossis: I love roses. I am still amazed that O gave me some on Valentines day. I had to document it.. ;) These are from C though and he always wants to buy flowers for me when he goes shopping. He is a true romantic.

Mia, I have to ask! What is Wordless Wednesday and what is EFIT?

julie M:

Wordless Wednesday (or Ordlös Onsdag in Swedish) is a weekly photolinking project where the picture speaks it's own words. All participants post a (child friendly )picture of their liking and post it on their blog and link back to their blog at

http://nejmaimarocko.blogspot.com/

who came up with the initiative. Some people just post something out of their ordinary day, some take a tricky photo, which need a bit of guessing to even understand what it is. *great fun, and I've stumbled upon some of my favorite blogs by participating*

EFIT is short for Ett Foto i Timmen, which is Swedish for One Photo Per Hour. It is similar to 12 of 12, I guess, but the original task would be to snap a photo (not necessarily your best photographic achievement) but with the focus to document what you're doing at 8.11, 9.11 etc. To share your day, the beautiful sides as well as the not so glamorous ones. (whereas I believe 12 of 12 is more about taking 12 good pictures in one day. (But I could be wrong here, I've only heard about 12 of 12 through the 366 challengers blogs and that has been briefly.)

I particularly like EFIT as I as a mother of 2 with wirlwind days, can think at the end of the day: What did I achieve today? Really? Looking round and all I see is a room with toys spread around me while I sit by the computer working. I also think that it's quite fun to look back and see that we've been up to from month to month. Not to mention to follow other peoples EFIT days. I have some friends who are spread around the world, it's great to get a better view of their day to day lives through EFIT.

Hope my explanations made any sense to you, thank you for stopping by. :)

Mia, thank you so much for your explanation! I would have kept wondering every time I read your blog. The Wordless Wednesday concept appeal to me - I only wish I could read/write Swedish so that I could participate.

I appreciate your comments about the "job satisfaction" in being a mom of young children. I am an at-home mom to two school-aged children myself, so I do truly understand. And photography is for me a creative and intellectual outlet. I always try to remember, though, that raising decent human beings is probably my greatest accomplishment...

Thanks, Mia!
