Wordless rose

Birthday rose

I am having such a busy week this week.
The weather is gorgeous and all I want to do is head out with the children and see if we can find any leaves to jump around in (we've had some few cooler days now), but noooo. Fingers crossed, the weather will stay crisp and lovely over the weekend as well!

Yesterday, I decided to try to take some pictures of some of my birthday roses.

Spending my days with 3 children, it never fails to amaze me how easily they find the joy in the smallest of things.
When I was working with this rose, it fell apart and they were allowed to play with the petals. They managed to make pretend food, make a petal rocket and make up a game where you had to throw petals in different cups to score points.

Happiness all around!

I got lots of pretty petal shots, I will post some tomorrow for my texture shots.

For more Wednesday contributions, see below.
