First family vacation

365 challenge #26: Big Event

This was actually our first family holiday. We do go away every now and then, but either it is a combined business trip, or we are house hunting or we are renovating our house, so this time, it was our first trip together of pure pleasure. And I must say, I am hooked!! It was absolutely wonderful doing nothing. I normally work online and wherever you go nowadays you can always go online, but this week we didn't. It was just family, snow, skiing, good meals and the tempered outdoor pool in the evenings.

The photo above is taken day 2 at C's attempt to learn to ski. He started off day 1 with a 1 1/2hour session in the slope with O. I didn't see him the first day, so I had almost a bit of a shock when I came to the slopes to check him out. He was skiing as if he was born with skiis on. And he absolutely loved it!

He was a bit exhausted by lunchtime, to say the least.. I thought he looked quite cute flopped on our lunch table.

365 challenge #340: My Own Theme: J skiing

J had 2 days of skiing. We had not planned for her to do any skiing, but she insisted, so O took her to the slopes. The first day she could hardly stand on her skiis, but the second day she started off skiing between O's legs to swiftly move on to skiing beside him, both of them holding a stick. Here she is resting at the bottom of the slope.

A little bonus shot, to give you an idea just of how tiny a 3.5year old really is in the slopes.

Here I am coming to the slopes, walking through the wood on a transportation slope from the parking lot, spotting O and J, they had just got off the lift.
